Customer ownership comes first.
The operating model can be fully managed, co-managed, project-based or advisory. In every model, Orbiwest keeps access, responsibilities, documentation and handoff clear.
We explain the work before important changes
You should know what is changing, why it is needed, what can be affected and how success will be checked. The explanation should be understandable to the customer contact responsible for the system, even when the engineering behind it is complex.
Customer-owned systems remain customer-owned
Tenants, domains, data, subscriptions and customer infrastructure remain under customer ownership. Authorized customer contacts receive agreed access through a secure model using MFA, least privilege and separate administrative roles where appropriate.
Documentation should reduce dependence
Useful documentation varies by service. It can include network diagrams, addressing, VLANs, firewall decisions, cloud and identity dependencies, server and storage information, recovery procedures, security escalation rules, device inventories and configuration handoff notes.
SOPs turn repeatable work into confidence
When a task is safe and appropriate for customer staff to perform, we can document it as a standard operating procedure. Examples include routine user administration, license assignment, credential enrollment, backup checks, common recovery steps and platform administration.
You choose how much responsibility we carry
- Fully managed: Orbiwest operates the agreed environment and remains the primary technical owner for that scope.
- Co-managed: your internal IT team and Orbiwest divide work by responsibility, skill or availability.
- Project and handoff: Orbiwest assesses, designs, implements and documents the change, then your team operates it.
- Advisory: your team performs the work while Orbiwest provides architecture, review, escalation or specialist guidance.
We do not use hidden knowledge as leverage
Customers should stay because the service is useful, not because leaving would be confusing or risky. We do not intentionally withhold routine credentials, diagrams, SOPs or operating knowledge to create dependency.
Which operating model fits you?
Tell us what your team wants to own and where you want Orbiwest to carry responsibility. We can build the engagement around that boundary.
